EXCERPT

There are two kinds of people in the world. The ones who look first, and the ones who leap. I’ve always been more of a looker. Cautious. A planner. That changed after I met Drew Evans. He was so persistent. So sure of himself – and of me.

But not all love stories end happily ever after. Did you think Drew and I were going to ride off into the sunset? Join the club. Now I have to make a choice, the most important of my life. Drew already made his –in fact, he tried to decide for the both of us. But you know that’s just not my style. So I came back to Greenville. Alone. Well, sort of alone....

What I've come to realize is that old habits die hard and sometimes you have to go back to where you began, before you can move ahead.

TWISTED picks up two years after Tangled’s end, and is told from Kate’s POV.

 REVIEW

Told mostly from Kate's POV, Twisted is set two years back from Drew's infamous "flu". By this time Kate and Drew are already living in together, still competing with each other and basically living in their own happy bubble - until something BIG happened and both of them messed up and they began to question their happy ever after.

First of all, I love Tangled to bits and pieces. I even blogged about it here. There are only a handful of male POV's novels out there and Tangled is one of the rare ones that got me engaged from beginning to end. So when I learned through Emma Chase's twitter that there will be a sequel, I got excited. In all honesty, I was really hoping that it would still be under Drew's POV because lets admit it, that guy can really tell a story and give all the girls out there a run for their money. It was somehow of a set- back when I learned that it would be told from Kate's POV but nevertheless, since I am a big fan of Emma Chase, I still picked it up.

If you have read Tangled and is expecting Twisted to be the same, you would set yourself up for a big disappointment. Yes, Its so hard not to compare Twisted to Tangled but one must taken into consideration that though this is a sequel it still is written differently. Where Tangled is all about humor, sarcasm and all the awesomeness that is Drew this is all about the emotions of a woman. Some reviews out there depicts this book as full of drama but really? this is written from a woman's viewpoint and who else is a better actress in this world than us women right?Anyho, I really like how Emma Chase created this because it will help readers understand what Kate's emotions are. I also love the plot - though it was really cliche but somehow it greatly showed us the reality of what a relationship is. Though I kinda missed Drew's "flowery words", this is a great extension to what Tangled was.

Kudos to Emma Chase for bringing another wonderful book to Drew and Kate's story. Can't wait though for the next one.
