REVIEW

Let me first start off by saying that if you haven't read the first book yet,  Thoughtless , you should not read this. I would definitely recommend that you read book one first so that you will have a background of Kellan and Keira's love story and an understanding of what they had been through before they stayed together.

In this second installment, Kellan and Keira are now a couple but their relationship was put to a test when Kellan's band were asked by a popular band to go to a six-month tour around the country with them. With the demands of being on the road, long periods of separation and occasional groupies, their relationship struggles to confront the one thing that they don't have - trust.

This book was everything I expected it to be after reading Thoughtless. There's the occasional drama, angst, romance, sweet words and supporting characters that will literally shock you (Hello Griffin). Character development was also pretty much evident on sequel. Keira had grown so much in terms of confidence. She's not the naive and dependent girl anymore but a mature woman. Though she made a couple of bad decisions, constantly accuse Kellan and still hiding secrets, she began to realize that she needs to trust her man to make the relationship work. And speaking of her man, Kellan, well, he is still the hot romantic guy. The part where he left little notes everywhere for Keira before he left and telling her to look for those and read it while he's gone so that she won't miss him? that would be the most romantic thing I've ever read. How can you not love a guy like that? And for Denny? He's still the good guy. If I felt sorry for him on the first book, in this installment, I was happy for him. He found someone that will completely love him and I was so glad that he and Keira had the closure they desperately need.

Its not that easy to put trust in a relationship when the past keeps on trying to get back to you. What happened in the past cannot be brought back again for as long as you learned from that experience. I learned this after reading Effortless. It was that awesome that I didn't put it down not until the last page. S.C Stephens, once again, proved that she have the knack and the skill for telling a good love story. Like what I usually say after reading a book, Its a good book if I can't get it off my mind, Effortless, is definitely one.
