It seems like the COMELEC and the Senate reads this blog (lol) because 2 days after my post about the recently concluded 2010 elections, they officially proclaimed Senator Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino and former Makati Mayor Jejomar  Binay as our new President and Vice President respectively.

There was no doubt that Noynoy would win the Presidential Race being the front runner in almost all of the Presidential Surveys conducted prior to election day but Binay is without a doubt the big story. After May 10, the next VP is a toss up between him and Roxas and up until the final count their rivalry is so close but Binay won over Roxas (in a slight margin) and will be Aquino's better half in making this country recover from the slump we had been suffering for years.

I admit, I did not vote for these two last May 10 but I would still support them all the way because I always believe that its not about who are leaders are that would make this country progress but its all about US and what we can do for the betterment of our lives. To borrow Pres. Kennedy's line: Ask not what your country can do for you - Ask what you can do for the country. So even if, these two are not the candidates we supported, let's just support them all the way and hope that they will do their job honestly.

  1. i didn't vote for noynoy either. but it's kinda irritating hearing all the other people complain how undeserving he is. he won already. we just have to support him now.

  2. exactly.. no offense meant but this is I think the main reason why our country will not prosper, everyone complains and blames everything to the government without them doing something for the betterment of their lives
