Okay, Before I got into this review let me tell you that I am still on a high  after an emotional roller coaster ride while reading this book. I get too personal with the books that I've read. I crave books that will evoke emotions out of me. I would be in complete joy if I read one that will move my heart and soul. And The Edge of Never did that and much more.  

I have been on the look out for this book since I saw it on NYT's Bestseller list last year. It piqued my  curiosity when my fellow book bloggers were singing praises about this wonder. So I got my own copy and divulge it one sitting two days ago and The Edge of Never turned out to be as good as I hoped it would be. This book brought me to places I wish I were. It leaved me breathless and utterly amazed. It made me realized that life is too short and you just lived it the way how you want to and not because other people want you to. I could go on and on about praises on how good this book was but it would be different if you would read it on your own.

Unlike some of the books I loved that really started out strong, The Edge of Never started out a bit too dragging. I know some of those that already read this mentioned that the story was too slow but it didn't really bothered me. In all honesty, it was compensated because the author did a remarkable job of developing the story from the beginning to end especially in terms of their relationship. It was not love at first sight with Andrew and Camryn. Yes, there was physical attraction but they didn't acted on it right away. It was not the "I like you, you're hot, let's f*ck" but for me it felt more of a friendship that slowly developed into a romantic one once they had gotten to know each other more on their roadtrip. It was a good thing when they fell in love and a torture when they won't tell each other how they felt. I was happy when they got together and in despair upon learning Andrew's secret. I wasn't able to control myself when my tears slowly crept and fell out of my eyes when that "thing" happened. In fact, during that particular cemetery scene, I was convinced that Andrew died when Camryn was visiting a grave and a large PARRISH was printed on the tombstone. I had to pause and put the book for a few minutes while gathering myself. Nevertheless, one good thing that I love about this book is how I was able to understand and relate to the characters more. It could be that it was told in two POV's so as you can read both sides of the story ot it could also be that they were simple characters. Both of them had emotional baggage they carried but the author didn't make it too complicated.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to backpack across the world with just your bag and a few necessities? If you don't then you should read this book and joined Camryn and Andrew's roadtrip to life and love - the forever kind. Just a warning though, it comes with drama and tears so be prepared.

If there's a guy in my book universe that can gave Travis Maddox a run for his money, it would be Kellan Kyle, the male protagonist of the series that changed my way of viewing contemporary romance. This series started my love for musicians and rock stars. This series started a fad of me reading books that has cheating as its theme. This series gave me days or in fact weeks of Kellan Kyle withdrawal. I even blogged about why I love this series HERE and HERE. So when I heard that there would be a third book, I began to anticipate it. Thankfully, S.C Stephens gave us a preview of the new book, chapter one and some scenes. I downloaded my own copy of this and trust me, It was so Good. I could not wait for the book to come out! OMG! everything is so cringe worthy! It was just chapter one but there was already some drama there and someone from Kellan's past came back with a bomb. Seriously S.C Stephens need to release this one sooner!

I'm starting my 2013 book review with a bang. Literally, the thump, Oh God, Bang, thump, bang, bang, bang, pictures falling from the wall and bed shaking bang. Oh God, this has got to be the most hilarious, romantic comedy I've ever read. Damn! I can't even remember the last time a book made me laugh like this. This was my first Alice Clayton book and I gotta admit, I loved her and her writing style and I definitely love this book to bits.

Wallbanger is one of those books that will literally creep slowly into your system. I went into this book without high expectations. I was thinking this is just another typical contemporary novel full of steamy sex scenes but lacking in the storyline department. But I was surprised. It didn't occur to me that I will be chuckling and grinning the whole time I would be  reading it. Yes, there might be plenty of sex but its not too "gross" or too porno because of the humor that the author put into it. The plot was just simple. There were no dark pasts, secrets or messed up lives that were a fad with most contemporary books nowadays. It was just a realistic story. Just two people discovering each other in a not so conventional way. The best part about this is the relationship build-up between Simon and Caroline. It was not rushed. Yes, there was constant flirting but it had taken them ages to do the deed considering that Simon is a walking manwhore. In fact I enjoyed their constant bickering and banter. Alice Clayton was able to successfully create characters that you will love and will be a part of you for the time being because when I was finished with this one, I was still thinking about it for days.

Wallbanger was just a delight to read. There were so many highlights from this book my all of those was crushed out by my fave scene ever and that involves a cat. I was literally bursting with laughter and can't stop laughing at some scenes that an animal would do. You must read the book so that you will know what I am talking about.

It's already 2013 in my part of the world but sadly I was not able to celebrate the new year because I was working. That's the sad part of working in a BPO Industry, you could never have Holidays. But I'm not complaining. I'm not born with a silver spoon so I had to earn a living to survive. So enough of that! this post is about my own reflections on the year that was.  2012 was a good year for me. I could not remember anything that made me sad or was not happy about. This was the year that I re-opened this blog and decided to blog about the thing that I loved the most. This was the year that I signed up with one of the best social media network in the web, Goodreads and met new friends. This was the year that I read the best YA and Dystopian series and occasionally slipping into erotica not for perverted reasons but more of satisfying my curiosity about the latest buzz in the book world. This was the year that I discovered a number of indie authors and loving their work. This was a year of great book finds and great read. And I'm so happy that I got to share it to you.

So I'm looking forward to even greater books and challenges in 2013. I know a lot of it has to be the sequels of my well loved series that will be released this year. But still, as a bookworm, I'm definitely on the hunt for a great book read that will highlight my whole 2013.
